Reflection:
I have been home from Cambodia for exactly 22 days now, and I still think about the children at CPO every second of the very long day. I don't think that they will ever leave my mind from now on and that is exactly how I want it to be. I love going back to the great memories, moments, sentences, feelings, and everything else that made the trip what it was. Incredible. I've already spoken to some of the kids who went on the other trip, and I've heard so many great things about their trip also. It was also very emotional when I heard that the children at the orphanage talked about me a lot and that I made them happy. It means the world to me that I impacted so many children in a good way and that I have left good memories for the children to hold onto and laugh about when times get though for them.
A country starved for food, yet she still patiently waits for her bowl of rice.
His parents don't take care of him anymore, yet he expresses love like no other could.
My teeth are white, and to keep them that way I must brush my teeth 3 times a day, yet his smile sparkles like diamonds in the sun.
He walks around in bare feet amongst the garbage and filth, yet his amazing laugh hugs my heart.
He was blinded by a land mind he was playing with when he was younger, yet he still sees music in the world.
Ragged clothes and dirt ground into his hands and feet, yet he dances with a freedom of moves.
These are some of the things that first made me fall instantly in love with every single one of these children.
I will never forget them and they will never forget me... that is how it will be for internity. :)
